Maria Gracia Santillana is a business reporter interested in covering how people earn and spend their money. Currently, she's a careers reporter at Forbes where she writes about workplace trends, the labor market, the use of AI in hiring practices and more. She write Forbes' Careers Newsletter and also co-edits the Forbes 30 Under 30 Retail and E-commerce, and Food and Drink lists.
She has experience covering a variety of topics, from how Latin music is taking over global charts, to the nitty-gritty of cryptocurrency financial markets. Her byline has appeared in Forbes, Gotham Magazine and other Modern Luxury publications, Static Media's The List and The Buenos Aires Times. She graduated from New York University with a degree in Comparative Literature and Journalism, and minors in Creative Writing and Public Policy and Management. She previously studied in Peru, Brazil, Argentina, and Ghana.
Maria Gracia also has experience as both a host and guest reporter on Forbes Talks videos and podcasts, and has moderated panels ranging from the comfort of her home (thanks to Covid) to summits at the United Nations. She is a member of NAHJ, where she leads programming for the Business Journalism Taskforce as the Trainings and Events Chair.
